Some of you may remember the "Rats at KFC" story from 2007 - when a hoard of the varmints were caught on camera in a Manhattan KFC. News outlets nationwide reported the story - if for no other reason than the video was just so damn scary. For those of you who are unfamiliar, check it out below...
Needless to say, the city shut that bitch down and a T-Mobile store opened up. Although I couldn't buy Popcorn Chicken and/or Chalupas anymore, I could at least pay my cell phone bill there.
So I was surprised last week when I stopped by to pay my bill and saw that T-Mobile had closed the location. It had stripped the place of all the demo cell phones and basically left only the display fixtures and the promotional posters on the walls.
Then, as I peeked inside, something gray and fuzzy caught my eye. There was A BIG RAT on one of the abandoned displays ...
But it wasn't real. I assume that one of the T-Mobile employees left the stuffed rat on the counter as he walked out the door one last time. A plush homage to the rats that paved the way for that very T-Mobile store.
