T.I. Signs Rapper Trae Tha Truth To Grand Hustle

Tip is expanding his Grand Hustle roster by adding Houston street king Trae tha Truth.

Trae and Tip announced the joint venture deal between Grand Hustle and the Houston MC's ABN label on "RapFix Live."

"We're gonna work alongside each other for a common goal and release this Trae tha Truth project," T.I. said of the deal.

The two haven't yet figured out how Trae's upcoming ABN projects will be distributed, however. T.I. is currently signed to Atlantic through Grand Hustle, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Trae's project will travel through the same channels. But Trae doesn't seem overly concerned about the particulars. "Me and Tip are similar in a lot of ways. We both understand what it is," Trae said.

"Grand Hustle is an established brand, ABN is already an established brand, it's about seeing what we can do to parlay what we've already done for ourselves to make it benefit the other and it's a two-way street," T.I. explained.

Rapper Max B Won't Get Out Of Jail Until 2042

Max B has caught a tough break, the Harlem rapper's appeal to get out of prison after being incarcerated for a botched robbery turned homicide has been denied. Now he's facing 30 more years in jail.

He was first arrested in 2007 after being accused of ordering his ex-girlfriend and stepbrother to rob a man. The victim ended up executed with a gunshot wound to the head. In 2009, Max B was found guilty of 9 of 11 charges, including murder, robbery and kidnapping. He first filed for appeal last year.

The melodic rapper, a former member of Jim Jones' ByrdGang crew, was a close friend and collaborator of Bronx rhyme-slinger French Montana. In 2009, B and Montana released the collaborative mixtape Coke Wave. Though B's legal troubles put the breaks on his career, Montana's star continued to rise. Last year, he signed to Bad Boy Records after a much-publicized bidding war, and he was recently named to XXL magazine's exclusive Freshman Class of 2012.

Kid Cudi Slams Label

Kid Cudi thanked fans for supporting his side project and to badmouth his label, Universal Republic, for shipping what he considers to be a low number of physical copies of the album.

"Ok so just a heads up, my weak ass label only shipped 55k physicals cuz they treated this like some indie side project tax right off ," Cudi posted."So i apologize on behalf of my weak ass major label. And I apologize for the lack of promo, again, my weak ass major label."

Cudi also claimed that Universal Republic "tried to rush me thru this so i can just give em another MOTM  but guess what? Fuck that, next album is WZRD. MOTM3 on hold til 2014." He later added, "Im lettin Universal Republic have it, fuck it. What they gon' do, spank me?? hahahaha."

The album has been at the top of the iTunes album chart for most of Tuesday.

Azealia Banks Accuses White Girl Rapper Iggy Azalea Of Being Racist

XXL Magazine’s Freshman Class of 2012 list hasn’t even been out more than a few hours and already there is some beef brewing over who was chosen for it. Although, Azealia Banks and Iggy Azalea are both relative newcomers to the game, don’t expect either of them to have each other’s backs.

Azealia hopped on Twitter to put Iggy on blast for not deserving to be on the cover of XXL and the throw shots that the white girl rapper might even be a racist. She tweeted:

“Iggy Azalea on the XXL freshman list is all wrong. How can you endorse a a white woman who called herself a “Runaway slave master”? Whatever. Sorry guys. But I’m pro black girl. I’m not anti white girl, but I’m also not here for any1 outside of my culture trying to trivialize very serious aspects of it. In any capacity. *kanye shrug* If u hate my music now because of how I feel about this then I guess it’s my loss. I’ll take that loss.”

Azealia was referencing Iggy’s “D.R.U.G.S” track where she starts off the verse “When the relay starts, I’m A Runaway Slave… Master,” However, Azealia Banks’ rant about Iggy comes off as bitter, especially for a newbie in the game.

Iggy responded:

Don’t bother including my @ name in any of ur salty thoughts either cause… I’m #blockinthata$$ today!!!!

What do you think, beef worthy?

Jennifer Lopez's Sexy "V" Magazine Spread

Here's a snippet of Jennifer's interview inside.

"There are so many differences in the Latin community. Someone from Mexico and someone from Puerto Rico have different foods, different traditions,” Lopez says. “There’s an education to be had. Even as I was going through the differ-ent countries, there were certain forms of music that I didn’t know about.”
Let it be noted that her relationship with Anthony during their publicity tour has been civil— at least pub- licly. Their body language throughout the promotion period was open complete with friendly hand-touching and smiles. There may have even been hugs.
“I mean, we’re parents and friends first,” she says with a smidgen of exasperation. “That will be the thread that ties us together. I don’t know if people expect it to be negative  just because the intimate relation ship didn’t work out.” The professional relationship, however, is chugging lucratively along.

Rapper Bizarre Leaves D12

Bizarre has announced that he's officially separated from D12, the Eminem backed crew of hip hop hooligans that rose to fame in the early 2000s.

The Detroit native, born Rufus Arthur Johnson, confirmed the news in an interview with HipHopDX.

"I'm not in D12 no more," he said. "We just had creative differences and decided to go our separate ways – well I decided to go my separate way... It’s a personal decision on my part. I think I’ve just grown as an artist and it’s time for me to branch off on my brand."

Bizarre, who has released three solo albums since 2005, and the cult-classic EP Attack of the Weirdos in 1997, said he's started his own collective called The Weirdo Movement.

"The Weirdo Movement, it’s consisting of me, my group FaygosandConey from Detroit, this guy named Fury, and my Asian brother from Seattle, Sonny Bonoho," Bizarre explained. "It’s just encouraging people that it’s alright to be weird, it’s alright to be different and speak your mind and dress and look however the fuck you wanna look. It’s a weirdo movement, it’s time for that. Hip hop is changing anyway, it’s getting more and more outrageous how they looking. And I been doing this shit for years."

The off-beat emcee also shared his thoughts on the latest troupe of troublemakers to shake up the genre, Odd Future.

"Aw, man. They dope. They remind me a lot of a young D12. They got a lot of energy," Bizarre said of the LA collective, which drew comparisons to D12 early on. "And to do the type of shit we do, it takes a lot of balls.  It takes a lot of balls and craziness to do the type of shit we do, so I salute.

Bizarre's fourth album This Guy's A Weirdo is due in stores March 30.

Rapper Big Sean Talks About New Album

In a radio interview with Bootleg Kev, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper revealed some of the featured guests and producers he has worked with on the follow up to his impressive debut album, Finally Famous. With the recording process under way, Sean has picked up beats from beatsmiths Kanye West, No I.D. and KeY Wane. He’s also got songs featuring verses from Yeezy and Wiz Khalifa.

“Yeah, there’s going to be some Kanye production,” Sean revealed. “We had a couple of Kanye productions for the first one but they didn’t make the cut. One got sample clearance, couldn’t get the sample cleared in time, and the other one we just didn’t think it fit the album. Yeah, we got a lot of stuff on deck.”

“No I.D., we’ve got a song that’s going to change the world,” he promised. “It’s very inspiring. The inspiration, when you’re inspired, when you get inspired, that’s the best thing to do, through your music. I could tell you it’s an inspirational record that’s going to change the world. One verse, I rap from a perspective and the other, I rap from a crazy perspective. It’s a concept record, it’s crazy.”

And for those thinking that his newfound fame may alter his sound negatively, the witty wordsmith assures that his fan base will appreciate the growth in his music.

"I feel my new music is more reminiscent of my earlier work, only way better because I’m a way better rapper now. So I think that’s the best way to do it, to really take me back to what got me to where I am and just take it to another level.”

"Basketball Wives" Star Evelyn Lozada's Wedding Plans

According to RadarOnline:

Here are some exclusive details from the bride to be on the couple’s wedding plans. Evelyn is determined not to let anything about her big day stress her out!

“It’s Florida in Palm Beach in July and I’m currently busy planning. I don’t have my dress but I have a potential designer,“I am calm so far, I don’t think I am a Bridezilla, but talk to me in May or June and it may change. I am not making everyone participating in the wedding lose weight or anything like that!” she joked

“I started with 150 people and I think it will be 250, The list is the biggest headache.
Who is going to sit where, who doesn’t like this person. You have both families chiming in. I initially wanted something smaller, but Chad is a big personality and if I leave it up to him he will have animals running around. I am definitely inviting my  cast mates, and he’s having his New England Patriots teammates and coaches from his past team, the Cincinnati Bengals come.”

“Jennifer is definitely not invited, it really wouldn’t make sense as she really wasn’t supportive of my relationship from day one I want people who are really, truly happy for us. She never really cared.”

“We don’t have honeymoon plans yet because he has to report to NFL training camp in August, maybe someone will give us one as a gift and we can go later in the year,” she said.

Supermodel Beverly Johnson's New Reality Show

Her OWN series Beverly’s Full House, due to premiere March 31 and run for eight weeks, will follow her relationship with her daughter Anansa and her new role as grandmother to seven-month-old Ava. “I’m so in love, it’s crazy,” she raved about being a grandma. She’d met with Winfrey to pitch several show ideas, and was surprised to find that Oprah was interested in the reality show. Johnson agreed to do it because Winfrey “has such good production and I trusted her.” Having the cameras around for five months “takes a little time to get used to. It was intense at first,” she admitted. “But after a while you forget about it. It worked out well.”

Music Executive Jimmy Henchman Charged In Murder Case

Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond,  music executive and manager to the stars who was arrested last year for his involvement with a bicoastal cocaine syndicate, just had a potentially even more serious charge land on his lap. The Czar Entertainment founder has officially been charged with ordering the murder of 50 Cent associate Lowell "Lodi Mack" Fletcher.

Rosemond, who had been the manager of Game, Sean Kingston and Brandy, was suspected of ordering two of his known associates, Rodney Johnson and Brian McLeod, to commit the murder. Johnson and McLeod were arrested for the killing last summer. Fletcher had been convicted of assaulting Rosemond's 14-year-old son and had just been released from jail when he was gunned down in the Bronx in 2009.

The embattled Rosemond is already serving time in a Brooklyn federal prison for earlier charges related to the drug ring. Prosecutors accuse the former mogul of running a $10 million a year cocaine operation
right out of his offices at Interscope. Prior to his capture and arrest last June, Rosemond went on the run as a fugitive from the law for over a month.

Madonna Forced To Change Title Of Song

Joe Francis has scored a victory against Madonna without ever having to set foot in a courtroom because she has changed the title of her new song "Girls Gone Wild" as well as its lyrics.

Joe and his lawyer David Houston fired off
a cease and desist letter threatening Madonna with legal action if she sang the song during her halftime performance, and also demanding that Madonna make things right on her new album.

Well, apparently Madonna and the record label, Interscope, have changed the song title to "Girl Gone Wild."

Joe is a douche bag.

His Trukfit brand has already took the streetwear market by storm, and now Young Money will branch out from the already established brand with a new famed company.

"I do have a shoe coming out soon but it won't be Trukfit. I have a shoe with a well-known company. I just don't want to say yet because I haven't dotted the line yet," he said. "But it's done."

Halle Berry Cancels Oscars Appearance

There will be a little less star power at the Oscars this year. Halle Berry has canceled her appearance at Hollywood's biggest night, People reports. The Oscar-winner, who was due to present an award, is blaming her broken foot for keeping her from the ceremony.

Berry broke her foot on the set of her new film Cloud Atlas last September, while chasing her daughter Nahla on the streets of Majorca, Spain. Not sure why a nearly six-month old injury would be keeping Berry from the red carpet tonight, but it's probably safe to say it's a little more complicated than needing a pair of orthopedic shoes.

Berry has been embroiled in an increasingly ugly custody battle over Nahla with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubrey, and was recently denied sole custody rights to her daughter.

Lil Wayne Sued For $500 Thousand

Lil Wayne was sued back in 2009 by a promotion company called Red City Entertainment which claimed it fronted $432,000 for a concert in the Bahamas, but Wayne was too drunk to perform.

When he failed to show, Red Light claims cops showed up to the rapper’s hotel room and found him unconscious.

Lil Wayne insists it’s all a lie, “At no point did I become so intoxicated that I passed out on a bed in my suit, or anywhere else.”

Wayne says the real reason he didn’t show up was because the concert was canceled he can’t remember exactly why but believes it had something to do with technical difficulties, like lighting and sound problems.

Wayne is now asking the court for a judgment in his favor.

Nicki Minaj Responds To Being Called A Sellout

Nicki Minaj is a long way from freestyling on staircases in the made-for-the-streets Come Up DVDs.  She is setting her sights on the top of the Billboard charts for her upcoming sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.

However, some of the genre-bending singles she's released for the project, like the RedOne-produced "Starships," have gotten some of her core hip hop fans raising eyebrows and some even calling her a sellout. Minaj decided to address her critics.

"I would hope that people know at this point that I'm smart enough to know what I'm doing all the time," "But I guess they still kind of waiver. I always intended on putting out something urban after 'Starships,' because I knew 'Starships' was a monster. I didn't feel the pressure. To be honest, I feel really, really good. I feel that hip hop cares enough that they have something to say. I remember when I was hoping that someone had something to say about me on the radio or cared enough."

Minaj goes on to say that the problem lies in the threat of the reach of her pop songs, some rap fans are not ready to see her expand her sound. Still she has no intention on changing her game plans or leaving hip hop completely in the dust.

"I think people sometimes get blown away by the magnitude of the pop stuff, because the pop stuff, it reaches everywhere and then I feel like my hip hop fans or hip hop culture starts getting a little bit afraid that I'm going to leave," she continued. "But this is who I am. I'm not going to change, I'm just adding on to my brand. And if you don't understand that, then it's probably why you don't travel and don't see the world and I probably can't even have a conversation with you anymore."

Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is set for release April 3.

Kid Cudi Previews New Album 'WZRD'

Kid Cudi unveiled his debut collaboration with producer, Dot Da Genius, "WZRD," at a NYC listening party. It was evident he had a few things to get off his chest.

"I'll root for anybody that steps out of their comfort zone to do something different," the G.O.O.D. Music artist admitted to an intimate crowd at NYC's artsy W.I.P. club.

His new album is built on heavy riffage, dark, schizophrenic production, and Cudi's signature soul searching. The rock influences on this project are also more pronounced than Cudi's former.

"One thing I love about Pink Floyd," Cudi said, "is how the instrumentals take you to a whole other place." The artist/actor also mentioned that the Pixies, Nirvana, and Electric Light Orchestra were heavy influences on the album's soundscapes. At a time when many indie rock/alternative musicians are dabbling in hip-hop, majority of "WZRD" could pass for Cudi fronting Sleigh Bells, filtered through the urban rock aesthetic of The Neptunes.

For an artist known for his inner demons, portrayed lyrically in his storytelling, the guitar has had a calming effect on the 28 yr. old Cleveland native. "I woke up one morning and realized I love playing the guitar; it's therapeutic for me. So I called Dot Da Genius and said I wanted to make a rock band."

"WZRD" isn't a total departure from Cudi's past. The album favors programmed drums to maintain a self-described "hip-hop feel," and much of the record's personality should be familiar to Cudi fans: "It's not that different; the message and subject matter are still the same."
