Republican Senators Larry Craig (R-Restroomland), and David Vitter (R-Whoreville) are both sponsors of the federal Marriage Protection Amendment. The amendment would actually write discrimination into the Constitution of the United States by stating that marriage rights could ONLY be extended to couples that are one man and one women.
