Matt Locke, who contacted me via email a little over a week ago and suggested we do an interview, actually picked up his phone and talked to me today. We had QUITE the conversation and talked for almost an hour.
Putting this "interview" into written form is going to be tough. Talking to Matt was like talking to a friend of mine. Yes, I took notes, but still - imagine talking to a friend for an hour, and then trying to summarize the conversation "on paper". Not that Matt didn't give me PLENTY of things to write about. He was open, honest, funny, and so down to earth.
I am now a total fan - and will be bugging each and every one of you to vote for Matt after Design Star airs this Sunday at 9:00 pm on HGTV. How cool would it be to have this season's Design Star be the first-ever interview on DavidDust?!? In fact, if he wins, we'll claim WE were the one who put him over the top - and he'll be forever in our debt!
