Warren Beatty

A million thank you's to DustBunny LittleKarnak for her extremely kind donation! As per her request, here's a picture of Mr. Warren Beatty from back in the day. Hubba hubba!

Thanks again, LittleKarnak. Not only for the donation, but for your exquisite taste in men!

A "Thank You" Post

This post is dedicated to DustBunny David B from Ft. Lauderdale, who sent us an extremely generous donation today. What a good Bunny...

Thank You !!

Many thanks to DustBunny G. McD. for his kindness and generosity. As you can see, New Zealand Rugby star and heavyweight boxer Sonny Bill Williams (above) appreciates it almost as much as I do.

XOXOXOXO

Thanks For The Donation!

Dearest DustBunny BT -

Thank you so much for the donation - I truly appreciate it, and so does my "business associate", Rodrigo (above). Now if I could just get him to iron that wrinkly t-shirt. After all - we have STANDARDS here at DustBunny World Headquarters...

XOXOXO

Wow - All I Can Say Is ... "Thanks"

After I wrote my No More Secrets post, I was nervous about how it would be received.  Don't ask my why, but I was.

Well ... my concerns were certainly unfounded because you truly blew me away with all your love and support.  DustBunnies who have never uttered a peep in the Comments spoke up - which thrilled me beyond belief.  Right now DavidDust gets an average of 2500 to 3000 individual visitors per day, but I only know about a few dozen of you.  The fact that you loyal-but-silent DustBunnies took the time to comment on that post means the world to me.

Of course I also appreciate my tried-and-true old friends showing me the love, as you always do.  Bob (and Carlos) chimed in exactly TWELVE MINUTES after the post was published (6:50 AM!), and the comments and well-wishes continues all day and night.

If love, support and friendship have ANY bearing upon one's health, then I will be the healthiest Biatch on the planet in no time.

XOXOXOXOXOXO

Thank You

Thanks to everybody who left me "feel better" well-wishes over the past 24 hours.  I apologize for the sentimental, sappy and Hallmark-esque "Thank You" message at the top of this post, but nothing says "friendship" and "thank you" like keeping hair out of puke.  You know I'd do the same for all of you.

I feel a tiny bit better today.  I slept for 10 1/2 hours last night - and plan on doing the same thing tonight - so posting will still be light over the next day or so.

One sure-fire way to tell when I'm sick is that my appetite disappears.  On a normal day I'm hungry all the time - morning, noon and night.  I'm hungry when I'm happy, sad, nervous, or angry.  I can eat when I'm busy, or when I'm being lazy at home.  I can eat anywhere or anytime - that's just how I roll.

But when I'm sick, I don't even want to look at food (not even Arby's!).  And today was the first time I've been hungry in a few days - which is a good sign.

2 Million Page Views!

That's right people - DavidDust hit the 2 million page views mark sometime last week!!  That means in the less than 15 months (since I installed my Statcounter), 2 million pages of my little bloggie have been viewed by you fierce biatches!

I would truly like to thank each and every one of you for stopping by - and for your continued support.

One of my favorite posts over the past few months was one where I asked DustBunnies who always read but have NEVER commented to "check in" and tell us who you are.  I am a complete stalker of my Feedjit thingy (screen capture below) - which shows me, in real time, as people log on and off of DavidDust.  I sometimes notice the same towns over and over and wonder "Who are these Fierce Biatches??"

So, if you have never commented before - PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT TELLING US WHO YOU ARE AND WHERE YOU LIVE and anything else you might want to add.

FYI: you can no longer comment anonymously, but getting a Blogger account is free, quick and easy.  Just click on the weird orange "B" at the upper left corner of this page and they'll walk you through it.

I would ESPECIALLY like to hear from NYC DustBunnies, and Bunnies from Pennsylvania (where I was born and raised).  Chambersburg?  Coatesville?  I know you're reading - please say "Hi!!".

Anywhore ... thanks again for everything. I heart every single one of you.

>P,B!

Veteran's Day Salute to the Military

OK, I'm pretty sure the last guy isn't a member of the United States military, but isn't the Republic of Hunkistan one of our allies??

Seriously - thank you to all the veterans and active military for your service to this country.

I Could Do This For Hours...

Dust Bunny Nutwood Beth sent me a present! She made the fabulous Arby's sign (above) at a sign-generator site - and I LOVE IT!!! Seriously, I could spend days playing with this.

For instance, here is one for you Top Chef fans...

And here is a "thank you" to Beth...

Over One Million Page Loads!!

Holy cow!! I just happened to check the StatCounter at the bottom of my blog page, and it recently rolled over the ONE MILLION mark!! I installed StatCounter at the end of April - so in about 6 months DavidDust has had over one million page loads. That is simply mind-boggling.

I feel a little like Dr. Evil ... "One MEEEEEEELION!"...

All I can say is - Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Thank You!

I just wanted to thank you for all the birthday wishes that were sent my way yesterday via comments, phone calls, text messages and cards. And I was really blown away to see so many of you did actual blog posts wishing me a happy day. Seriously bitches, it made me feel VERY loved and VERY special.

Today I am home cleaning my apartment and preparing for the weekend with Maddie and Ginger. FYI: due to the ongoing birfday festivities, I probably won't be recapping Project Runway this week.

Memorial Day

I would personally like to thank the brave men and women who serve in the military - or have served in the past - for everything they do. Because of these honorable people, we are all free.

From the bottom of my heart ... THANK YOU for your service.

Jingle All The Way...

Early tomorrow morning I'll be on an Amtrak train headed to Central Pennsylvania - where Mama Bunny will pick me up to do some VERY last-minute Christmas shopping. Posting will probably be lighter than usual until I return next week - but I should still be posting something every day.

Happy Holidays to the greatest blog-readers a blogger could ask for. I am so grateful to each and every one of you for being part of my life.

XOXOXOXOXOXO

Thanks!

I have surfaced from my Bacardi Limon haze (for a moment, anyway) to say thank you for all your support. Yesterday I thought I had made a HORRIBLE decision - but today I realize I did the right thing.

After moderating 32 comments (many from people who have never commented) I realize how lucky I really am - on so many levels.

My darling Zombie Mom called my NEW vacation a "staycation", but it's more like a "drunkinmyapartmentcation". And that's MUCH better than running from a Hurricane.

XOXOXOXOXOXOXO ... hiccup! ... burp!

Thank You!

Thank you all for the kind words on my one year blogiversary. I would like to share one comment in particular that literally made me cry this morning. It is from Dust Bunny Cuz_I’m_The_Mom:

Happy Blogiversary, David Dust. I never mentioned this before but for some reason, your blog is the first one I've ever read. I was looking for info on one of the contestants of Design Star and you popped up! And I'm so very glad you did.
You see, I lost my Mom in February after a long illness. We were very close and shared a warped and sarcastic sense of humor. I've been really down and out. Not sleeping much. Dreaming awful dreams when I do sleep. Lately though, laughing out loud at your words has really made a difference, especially in light of Mama Bunny's obvious connection with you. Give that hilarious woman a big hug after you read this, please. She's a gem!

I probably should have sent this to you in an email or something, but I think it might be a good thing for folks to know how we can sometimes really help others, even when we don't know.

The sleeping is getting better and the dreams are starting to be happy memories of Mom. I hope that you'll keep doing what you do and know that you really made a big difference in what has been a really shitty year so far.

Love ya!

I am touched beyond words - and I don't know how to respond. You don't know how much hearing this means to me - thank you.

My Dust Bunnies are incredible…

XOXOXOXO

Notes From My Dust Bunnies...

First of all, I want to thank those of you who check in here at DavidDust - either via comment, or by sending me an email. I LOVE hearing from you, so keep it up.

I wanted to share an email I got last week from Dust Bunny Jennie. I read Jennie's blog every day - where she somehow manages to make being a Mom sound hysterically funny. Besides being an excellent writer, a devoted mother, and a loving wife - she also happens to be a TRUE Christian. Not one of those McDonald's boycotting, gay-hating idiots - but a true believer in "do unto others..." Oh, and she curses like a drunken sailor, likes a cocktail (or 4), and wears a T-Shirt that states "I'm A Christian and I Support Gay Marriage". Simply put - she is just too fabulous for words.

She also has a bit of a filthy mind. Either that, or she is VERY proud of her vegetables. Here is the email I received:

I went out to my garden yesterday and thought of you. I can't imagine why! ;)

Jen

First of all, I LOVE how she put the pen in there for context. Secondly, I know other bloggers may receive pictures of naked men from their readers, but I get Christian Moms sending me pics of phallic veggies from their garden. And I wouldn't trade that for the world.

Thanks Jennie!

XOXOXO
