Just spotted on my Feedjit Live Traffic feed:

Evergreen, Alabama arrived from google.com on "DAVID DUST: NOM's Solution For Gay Marriage - KILL GAY PEOPLE" by searching for can u kill gay people on a holiday.

That's right, someone in Alabama googled "can u kill gay people on a holiday" and found my blog. Oy.

Camila Alves Deaf?

It cracks me up that anytime Shear Genius is on TV, my blog gets dozens of hits from people Googling "Camila Alves Deaf?"  The picture below is a partial screen capture of my Feedjit feed during the show last night.  As you can see (click on the image to embiggen), in this case I got 3 hits within one minute.

The results take people to THIS POST from a couple weeks ago where I described Camila as sounding "like Elmer Fudd's deaf, mentally challenged sister".  And now, believe it or not, I feel kinda bad for saying that...

For the record, as far as I know Camila Alves is NOT deaf (or retarded) - she just has a Brazilian accent.

Google Fun

I'm obsessed with my Feedjit thingy (located at the bottom of my right sidebar). Feedjit tells you where visitors to your blog are physically located, what website they came from, and where they go when they leave. It will also tell you if someone got to your blog as a result of a Google search - and if so, what they were searching for.

Yesterday, someone from Hixon, TN found DavidDust by Googling the following:

why is it that new members at tmobile get a new phone but people who have been with get a stupid discount that aint nothing

I cut and pasted that bitch EXACTLY, because it cracked me up! They ended up on THIS post about my new (free!) phone. Speaking of my new phone, I still don't know how to use the MP3 thing, but the radio is FIERCE!

When I was looking for pictures to accompany this post, I found the above. Go ahead, follow the instructions and see what happens. Google is funny!

Daddy Of The Day - David Durante - Part II

According to Feedjit, one of the Google searches that will land you on DavidDust (in addition to “Grab and Growl” and “Beach Hotties”) is “David Durante” – the American gymnast and complete hottie. Here are some more pictures of Mr. Durante, who will be an alternate on the U.S. Olympic team competing in Beijing.

I LOVE Heavy Traffic!!

On Sunday I added a Feedjit live traffic feed box to my blog – which shows where DavidDust readers are coming from and going to. If people find the blog as a result of a Google search, Feedjit will tell me what they were searching for. It also tells me where my readers are physically located. I have been fascinated by it.

You can click on the “real-time” option, and watch the Dust Bunnies coming and going as it happens. I have found out some interesting things:

Today, between 11:00 am and 11:30 am, I had visitors from Sweden, Cyprus, Venezuela, Italy, Canada, Great Britain, Finland, Puerto Rico, Luxembourg, and the U.S. That was just in 30 minutes! Who are all you people? Talk to me!!

It is also interesting to see what Google/Google Image searches will get you to DavidDust. Some of the more popular: “Carlos Leon”, “Beach Hotties”, “Matt Locke gay”, “Cristiano Ronaldo”, “Nick Markakis”, “Zeb Atlas”, and any combination of “Mikey V”, “Gay Porn” and “Rope Rituals”. Also, I found out if you Google “Grab and Growl”; this post is the top result.

And there is someone in Russia who’s a BIG fan of DavidDust favorite Franky G. :)

I really didn’t realize this site got so much traffic. If you get a chance sometime, click on the “real time” option on the Feedjit box and watch the coming and goings. It’s almost like people-watching – without the people.
