I Got 'Gawkered' - Did YOU ?
This weekend, Gawker Media's servers were hacked, leaving many user accounts and their corresponding passwords vulnerable. Nearly 1.25 million accounts, including more than 500,000 user e-mails and more than 185,000 decrypted passwords, ended up being posted online.
I was one of those users. As a result, someone from Los Angeles was able to log into my Facebook account because I'm an idiot who uses the same password for multiple websites. Somehow, Facebook figured out that this chump in L.A. wasn't me and locked down my account.
When I logged onto Facebook yesterday, I received a message saying they had detected suspicious activity on my account. Then I was prompted to identify a series of pictures of my Facebook friends in order to prove it was me. That part was kind of cool, actually.
Anywhore, I went to ALL of the websites I use often: Twitter, Google, Gmail, Facebook, Paypal, etc. and changed all my passwords just in case.
To find out if YOU got Gawkered - go HERE. Plug in an email address (or Gawker user name) to see if your information has been compromised. Here's what it said when I plugged in MY user name ...
Yikes.

This Crime Wave Must Be Stopped!
Don't you hate it when someone sneaks into your home and steals your perfectly good computer hardware and then replaces it with non-working hardware? It happens all the time - and something must be done about it.
Dear Republicans in Congress: Forget healthcare. Forget the deficit (which has already been solved). COMPUTER REPLACING is the number one issue facing Americans today.
Let's make this country great again...

Are You On Twitter Yet?
Are you Biatches up on the Twatter Twitter yet? If not, what are you waiting for? Think of Twitter as BookFace Facebook for anti-social people. You don't have to comment on your "friend's" new pic or status changes. You don't have to "Buy A Biatch A Drink" or "Send A Ho A Hug". And you aren't brow-beaten to play games like FarmJewel, MafiaVille, and WarTown. You also don't have to worry about whether or not to "friend" your mother and your boss.
And when you log into Twitter, an alert doesn't go out to your "friends" saying that you are now logged in - prompting requests to chat. This is the reason why I don't do BookFace ... I'm "just not that into" some people.
Check out Twatter Twitter ... and FOLLOW ME. Because I am absolutely "into" all of my Twitter Ho's.
Get it?!? Twitter "HOSE"!!!! ...
Sorry.

Star Trek Computer Finally Arrives

According to Americablog, the Star Trek computer has arrived:
The biggest internet revolution for a generation will be unveiled this month with the launch of software that will understand questions and give specific, tailored answers in a way that the web has never managed before....
Wolfram Alpha will not only give a straight answer to questions such as "how high is Mount Everest?", but it will also produce a neat page of related information – all properly sourced – such as geographical location and nearby towns, and other mountains, complete with graphs and charts.
The real innovation, however, is in its ability to work things out "on the fly", according to its British inventor, Dr Stephen Wolfram. If you ask it to compare the height of Mount Everest to the length of the Golden Gate Bridge, it will tell you. Or ask what the weather was like in London on the day John F Kennedy was assassinated, it will cross-check and provide the answer. Ask it about D sharp major, it will play the scale. Type in "10 flips for four heads" and it will guess that you need to know the probability of coin-tossing. If you want to know when the next solar eclipse over Chicago is, or the exact current location of the International Space Station, it can work it out.
That's all fine and good, but I'm waiting for the Star Trek food replicator ... where all you have to do is tell it what you were hungry for, and your meal appeared. This, my friends, is a fat bitches DREAM...

You KNOW what I would have my replicator make for me every day...

I'm thinking Arby's!
