Men In Hats - Part II

The other night, my bestest girlfriend Vera and I had a telephone discussion regarding hats. Some of you may recall my post from a couple of weeks ago, where I berated my CSI Miami daddy – Adam Rodriguez – for putting on a hat. I said it made him look silly and Amish – Vera disagreed.

Vera loves hats. Loves, loves, LOVES them. Of course she also looks GOOD in them, unlike me. Unfortunately, my Charlie Brown/Oprah-sized head prevents me from looking decent when I put a hat on. Vera, on the other hand, has a theory. “YOU wear the hat – don’t let the hat wear you”, she says. I guess she has a point – it takes a certain amount of self-confidence to pull off a successful hat outing. This is a personality trait which Vera possesses and unfortunately I do not.

I did some research (see below), and I still think men need to steer clear of hats altogether. What do you think?

Daddy Of The Day - Kevin Alejandro

Today's Daddy of the Day was requested by one of the birthday girls. A couple of weeks ago, Vera made the suggestion that I feature “Santos from Ugly Betty” (picture from the show below) as a Daddy of the Day. I had no idea who the hell that was since I don’t watch the show (I usually work my part-time job at the decorator’s office when it comes on), so I did some research.

It turns out Santos was played by Kevin Alejandro, who has caught my eye in a few different shows over the past couple of years.

Happy Birthday to Vera and Guy!

Let's all wish a very happy birthday to two of the most important people in my life - my "bestest girlfriend" Vera (known to most as Carl), and my roommate Guy. Yes, the Libra birthdays just keep coming.

Below are a couple of pictures of the birthday girls. Don't they look so young and fresh?! Vera is on the left, with Guy on the right.

These pictures were taken a few years ago in our old apartment. Vera was visiting from Pennsylvania to attend the Puerto Rican Day Parade - or as I like to call it - "Papis on Parade". I'm telling you, they should make that Sunday a national holiday. You CANNOT IMAGINE the gorgeousness on display.

I have known Vera since High School, when he was a well-dressed varsity swimmer. In fact, he was voted "Best Dressed" of his high school class. And he still has all his old fierce outfits in a closet somewhere!

Guy has lived with me for years and years (poor thing). At least he doesn't have to wash all my dirty dishes now - our new apartment came complete with a dishwasher (which I love!).

Today is also Kelly Ripa's (from Live with Regis and Kelly) birthday, so they are in good company......another friggin Libra!
