The bad (?) news is that Serena Williams lost the U.S. Open to Australia's Samantha Stosur. The good news is that Williams delivered a soliloquy-for-the-ages to the chair umpire after being penalized for "verbal interference"... 

"If you ever see me walking down the hall, look the other way, because you're out of control... You're totally out of control, you're a hater, and you're unattractive inside. Who would do such a thing? And I never complain. Wow... We're in America last I checked. Can I get a water or am I gonna get violated for a water? Really, don't even look at me! I promise you, don't look at me, 'cause I am not the one. Don't look my way."

Got that?!? Serena Williams is NOT THE ONE. And don't look at her - you "unattractive inside" Hater.

Featured Athlete/Champion - Novak Djokovic

Congratulations to tennis cutie Novak Djokovic (currently ranked #3 in the world) for winning his second Australian Open over the weekend.

Djokovic, 23, is from Serbia and won the Olympic bronze medal for his country in 2008. In addition to winning the Australian Open twice, he is the youngest player from the open era to have reached the semi-finals in all four Grand Slam events. Most importantly (in my opinion), Djokovic makes the world a better place by never hesitating to go shirtless.

Rafael Nadal won the Australian Open today after beating his friendly rival - Roger Federer - in another epic match. Which is the perfect opportunity for me to post a couple of cute pictures I had laying around...

Rafael Nadal In NYC

My best friend Michael is a tennis fanatic, and Rafael Nadal is his favorite player. Every August, Michael spends a couple of days at the U.S.T.A. Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, Queens stalking watching Mr. Nadal and his other favorite players. Michael took these photos during the last U.S. Open, while Rafael was practicing.

Nadal Wins Wimbledon

I'm not much of a tennis fan, but apparently Rafael Nadal's Wimbledon finals match vs. Roger Federer was a true battle. Congratulations to cutie Rafa for winning his first Wimbledon trophy, and ending Federer's five-year winning streak. Nadal is also the first man to win the French Open and Wimbledon in the same year since Bjorn Borg did so in 1980.

Tennis star Rafael Nadal just turned 22 years old, and has never lost the French Open (winning four in a row) - his latest victory coming this past weekend. He is from Mallorca, Spain and is just too cute.
