The Queens of Drag: NYC

This sounds like a lot of fun. From a Press Release I received this week...
Film and TV producer Larry Kennar (L Word, Barbershop and 50 First Dates), Season 4 Project Runway designer Jack Mackenroth and award-winning producer/director and owner of Colt Studio Group, John Rutherford, have come together to produce a television extravaganza called The Queens of Drag: NYC that explores and exploits the glamorous and ghetto-fabulous drag queen scene of New York City.
Drag legend Lady Bunny will reign supreme in this all-star cast of drag divas, which includes the ageless and evergreen Hedda Lettuce, uber-glam Sherry Vine, the hilarious Bianca Del Rio, sexpot songstress Peppermint and the classless and campy Mimi Imfurst. Breakout queens nipping at their platform heels like Epiphany, Logan Hardcore, Chandelier, Dallas DuBois and Celso will join these ladies of illusion.
First of all, I am down with anything Jack Mackenroth is doing - he is cute and talented and he might just be the nicest guy in whole entire world. But then they throw Lady Bunny and Hedda Lettuce into the mix?!? I AM SO THERE.
Note to Jack and the other producers: I am available for a full-time judging gig. You can think of me as a super-sized Michael Kors ... without the fashion experience. And I work CHEAP - just throw me a couple Arby's coupons and a bottle of Bacardi Limon and I'm in...
The Queens of Drag: NYC starts filming this month. As of right now they don't yet have a TV outlet, although the press release says "multiple networks" have expressed interest.

White Meat Monday Big Brother of the Day - Jessie Godderz

Big Brother 11 has begun on CBS, and notorious narcissexual - Jessie Godderz - is back...

During this season of Big Brother, there seems to be a bromance blossoming between Jessie and fellow musclehead Russell Kairouz. Check out Jessie lifting Russell instead of free weights - wait, there's a "dumbbell" joke in there somewhere. BTW, where EXACTLY is Jessie's right hand in the top two pics???...

Check out my first Jessie Godderz post HERE.

About Last Night ... Reality Television

I had a lovely dinner last night with fellow Blogger Kitty Bradshaw (more about that later) , so I didn't get back to my apartment until relatively late. And when I did get home I needed to get my blog posts together for today - so I didn't have much time for television. But I turned on the TV and kinda watched So You Think You Can Dance (below) and The Fashion NO while doing other stuff.

Both shows had something in common last night - appearances by Kelly Rowland. She performed "When Love Takes Over" (which is my JAM right now!) on SYTYCD. Am I weird that I actually prefer dance/pop artists to lip sync their songs as opposed to singing live? The vocals on those type of songs are always tweaked so much that when you hear it live it usually falls flat. For me anyway. Don't get me wrong, if Barbra Streisand ever makes an appearance on SYTYCD, I want live vocals - but any or all of Destiny's Children can simply move their lips and shake their hips as far as I'm concerned.
Check out the video: DJ David Guetta featuring Kelly Rowland - When Love Takes Over
But unfortunately, after Kelly's performance the judges sent cutie Phillip Chbeeb (below) home. Color me sad...
Then it was time for more Kelly Rowland on The Fashion NO...
The big drama last was the fact that Johnny straight-up copied Jakey G's sister's Golden Globes dress...
Here is his version...
Escandalo! So they sent Johnny home. I hope that means he'll finally take a bath and shave. I'm sorry, but he looked dirty to me. And not in a good way...

Reality TV Roundup

Time for another DavidDust Reality Television Roundup...

First of all, you MUST read Tom & Lorenzo's mid-season REPORT CARD for The Fashion NO. If Andy Cohen and the powers-that-be don't listen to EVERY word, then Bravo shouldn't even think about doing a Season 2.

Finally! The cast of Lifetime's Project Runway was announced today. Please go to our friends at Blogging Project Runway to find out more about the new batch of fashiontestants (below).

Time for some NYC Prep...

Even though I can't stand the show, one of the only interesting things about NYC Prep is watching "PC" (above). My gaydar went crazy when I saw him on the show a couple of weeks ago, and I guess I was right. This week's episode featured PC and his old boarding school buddy, JP. PC described the two of them as having a "bromance", but whether this young gayling realizes it or not, in his case it's a "romance".
In the episode, PC described JP (below) as "the most beautiful Mexican". Coincidentally (?), PC has said that he will NOT be doing interviews regarding NYC Prep. I wonder if he's worried about his trust fund??? Read more HERE.

Moving on ... the cast of Top Chef Las Vegas was announced yesterday. Go to All Top Chef to check it out. Top Chef Las Vegas will premiere on August 26th - which happens to be my birthday! Can you say: DRUNKEN RECAP?!?

And finally, look for my Top Chef Masters mini-recap later this afternoon.

The Cougar

Did anyone watch the new show on TVland ... The Cougar? Oh WOW, it's trashy. A 40-year-old "Cougar" named Stacey puts a bunch of younger men through a series of challenges to find her match...

Some of the guys are gorgeous. David (below) is my favorite...

Johnny (below) isn't so bad either...

And Kai has a nice smile...

I didn't get through more than about 15 minutes of the first show ... it's that bad. Vivica Fox is the host - and she tries WAY too hard to be sassy. The only thing The Cougar is really good for is the eye candy...

Check out the Cougar website HERE. And while we're on the the subject, Miss Ginger Grant (below) recently guest-blogged about Drag Queen Cougars. Read it HERE.

FYI: Miss Ginger has CONFIRMED for the Drunken Dust Bunny NYC Weekend!

Brody Jenner Looking For Bromance

I've never paid much attention to Brody Jenner (and I never saw The Hills or The Princes of Malibu), but I've always gotten the impression that he is a bit of a douchenozzle. A hot douchenozzle, but nozzle nonetheless. Somehow I don't think Jenner's newest project will do much to change that impression.
On December 29, Brody's new "reality" show - Bromance - premieres. Brody will be auditioning new "bros" to hang with - since his former best friend Spencer Pratt has left him for some Ho. Helping him choose will be current buddies Frankie Delgado (below left) and Taylor "Sleazy T" Mosher (below right).

In selecting his next BFF, Brody wasn't afraid of laying on the homoeroticism. According to E! Online:

Speaking of homoerotic, check out Brody as Robin at Halloween (with Delgado as Batman). Nice package!

Jenner purposely put his wannabe buddies into some compromising and rather uncomfortable situations because he thinks it forced them to show their true characters. For instance, the elimination takes place as they sit knee to knee in a hot tub. "It's kind of homoerotic and I love people saying that," Jenner says in all seriousness, adding, "I'm cool with my sexuality and the gender that I like and I have a beautiful girlfriend. That's why I feel so comfortable with having these awkward guy moments."

Stylista Tonight!

Now that Project Runway is over, where will you get your weekly dose of fashion, fags, and cattiness? On the CW's new show - Stylista - that's where.
A group of young men and women will compete to become a "Junior Editor" at Elle Magazine, working under Nina Garcia's arch nemesis, Anne Slowey. From the preview videos I've seen, Anne works REALLY hard at being a bitch - but at least she seems to be nice to the fat girl.
And no, my darling Dust Bunnies, I will NOT be recapping Stylista. I have decided to stick to a strict "one recap per week" rule, and I will be recapping Top Chef next month. Besides, this is my busiest time of year (holiday parties, etc.), so I need to concentrate on work.
Our dear friends from Blogging Project Runway and Blogging Top Design have created Blogging Stylista, which will keep you up to date on the show, it's fashiontestants, and all of the drama. Check them out HERE.
