News: Lupe Fiasco Detained At Airport

Lupe Fiasco was the victim of some TSA officers at Los Angeles International airport last night.  While on his way to Rhode Island for a show, Fiasco was detained for a suspicious item in his luguage, reports AllHipHop.

"WOW…Fresh outta handcuffs @ LAX," Lupe tweeted shortly after the incident. "Airport PD officer was just doing way too much," Lupe tweeted. "Even OD's on TSA…let the arrest get before the CHARGES. We good tho #TimeForPrivateJets."

Apparently Lu was actually carrying a piece of music equipment that he didn't know wasn't allowed on the plane. Fiasco downplayed the hold up, tweeting, "Shout to all the good airport cops and TSA folks…don't let the bad apples spoil the bunch!!" said Lupe.

If you follow Lupe Fiasco on Twitter, you might want to check to see who those tweets are really coming from. The Chicago emcee announced today, via Twitter, that he was quitting the site.

He gave his 722,000 followers over to Nikki Jean. The singer/songwriter wasted no time in promoting her new album, "Pennies in a Jar".

It remains to be seen if Fiasco is really gone from Twitter, as this hand off came just one day after the release of Jean’s album. The singer even hinted that it’s not forever with one of her tweets on his account “Big thank you to @LupeFiasco for supporting my record. He won't be gone for too long.. Promise ;-)”
