A Step In The Right Direction

Last week, for the very first time in my life, I spoke with a Nutritionist regarding my (horrible) eating habits and my (record-high) weight. The service is/was free (through GMHC) and the appointment actually exceeded my expectations. The Nutritionist I spoke to was knowledgeable, empathetic and seemed eager to help me change my ways.

Ms. Nutrition gave me three goals to work on until I see her again in 3 weeks.

1. Only one diet soda per day. I'm supposed to drink water/seltzer instead.

2. Fast Food only once a week (as opposed to my normal 3-5/week). Just when the McRib came back! Damn! Damn! Damn!

3. Exercise at least 3 times per week.

As time goes by, she and I will add more goals to the mix. The idea is for me to slowly modify my behavior as opposed to going on a specific diet and changing everything at once.

As a matter of fact, right now I'm eating a bowl of homemade vegetable soup - which I whipped up this weekend. So far I'm off to a decent start.

News: Kris Humphries Played Kim Kardashian

At the end of the day, we know these to be facts. E scouts NBA players and offer them a chance for fame if they date Kim. Kim wants nothing else in the world but to be loved and be married. We all know her mom pimps out the whole family to make the $$ to keep coming in. Ratings were down this year, and it was rumored that the whole marriage and divorce is to bring life back to the show and get more ratings for this season's up coming show.

Kim made it a point to ask the courts to bar Kris from being able to request any type of spousal support.
Add this to the fact that they had a prenup, which according to reports, kept all of their assets separate, and Kris remains a bum, walking away with what little bit he made off that wedding special.

So what did Kris do to fuck up everyone’s money like this? He didn’t want to play his position and stay out of the spotlight. Kim Kardashian’s friends are scoffing at Kris Humphries, claiming he’s full of BS when he says he wanted to have a simple life with her in Minnesota, because once the marriage fell apart, he immediately began “chasing fame.”They’re saying in the last week or so, when they started talking about the possibility of divorce, Kris went into full Hollywood gear, talking about “branding” the Kris Humphries name with cologne, nightclub appearances and what not. Kris was pushing to keep their connection going, even if they ended their marriage and that threw up red flags. Kim was especially put off that Kris hired a Hollywood publicist over the weekend to work on his image.

New Music Album: Amy Winehouse "Lioness: Hidden Treasures"

Amy Winehouse "Lioness: Hidden Treasures" will be a posthumous release spanning Winehouse's entire career, dropping on December 5th.

Lioness will feature 12 tracks, including two new recordings "Between The Cheats" and "Like Smoke" featuring Nas. The rap icon was a friend to Winehouse, who wrote about him on the 2006 song "Me and Mr. Jones" and who shared a mutual producer in Remi.

Also included on the album are covers of songs by artists including Donny Hathaway and the Shirelles, in addition to the recently released Tony Bennett Duet "Body & Soul" from his album Duets II.

Winehouse's death, which came unexpectedly in late July, was recently ruled the result of alcohol poisoning. She was 27

News: "Glee" Star's Father Stabbed To Death

Charice from the hit TV show "Glee"'s father was stabbed to death in her hometown in the Philippines, leading the teen star Tuesday to pull out of a concert in Singapore.

The singer apologized to her fans for having to skip the show scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday so she could travel home to the Philippines.

"I am not going to be there to be part of David Foster and Friends concert," she said in a post Tuesday on Twitter. "I have to go back to the Philippines as soon as possible to be with my family."

Charice had long been estranged from her father. Local media reported that Charice's mother left him when Charice and her younger brother were small children.

In another Twitter post Tuesday, Charice said she once had a "really great relationship" with her father before their family troubles began.

"I loved him and I will still love him," she wrote. "He's still my Dad after all."

She also appeared on the "Oprah Winfrey Show" and has had a recurring role on "Glee" as the character Sunshine Corazon.
