Singer Adam Levine Launches Own Label

Adam Levine, Maroon 5 frontman and a coach on "The Voice," is launching his own record label, called "222".

The first artist signed to the label is Matthew Morrison, best known as the character Will Schuester from "Glee," whose sophomore album will be released on the label in the Spring.

"Starting my own label has been a long-time goal of mine, and I am thrilled to be at the point in my career where it is finally happening," said Levine, who kicked off his second season on "The Voice" Sunday night after the Super Bowl.

This past year, Levine became the first artist to have a No. 1 song as part of a group Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" and also enter the top 10 as a soloist with Gym Class Heroes' "Stereo Hearts" in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
