Teairra Mari has become a regular on the VH1 hit reality TV series Love & Hip Hop, and the popular character has caused a big stir with her hot looks. BET spoke to Teairra and she shared some of her favorite makeup picks. After all, it’s hard to stay looking flawless amidst flying drinks.
Known for her signature smoky eyes, Teairra confesses that organic makeup is the way to go. “Sometimes I use MAC, but most of the time, I use bareMinerals® Wearable Eye Makeup Kit in Meet the Stones. It has three different shades of black, and I mix it with this another eye shadow set called Meet the Browns. It’s smoky, but it has a little pop to it with the brown.”
She says lashes really complete a smoky eye. “I use two pairs of lashes, but nothing too dramatic. I start with a pair of thin, spaced-out lashes, and then I apply another pair of thin lashes. You can purchase the Ardell brand right at CVS. You don’t have to spend $30 on lashes. You can spend $3.00 to $5.00 and get exactly what you need.”
Nude lipsticks are the perfect understated complement to a sexy smoky eye, so Teairra keeps a sheer gloss with her at all times. “In my purse, I always keep Urban Decay lipstick in Naked. They have such cute lipstick caps!”
