On The 6th Presents D'Angelo Stephens An Arist On The Rise.
He is an up and coming producer from Los Angeles, California but originally from Sacramento. D'Angelo was introduced to the keyboard at any early age, and over the last 17 years he's mastered the craft and created a new sound of his own.
He exceeded what his parents thought were just enrolling summer lessons. They had no idea they were setting up their son's future. He's been in a pop rock band at one time called Downcyde so his sound is practically universal. Ranging from pop rock, pop, country, jazz, r&b, hip hop, and electro.
D'Angelo just didn't tap into music by accident. In 2008 Stephens learned he in fact comes from a long line of music pioneers. If you google the name Stephens you should find John Stephens Aka John Legend. They are in fact cousins, but that blood line stretches a little further to the famous Pointer Sisters. As he loves to say "its in our in our blood" is definitely a true statement. However having the same blood flowing through your veins isn't enough for Stephens nor is he looking for a family pass. He'd much rather the world embrace his sound and individuality.
While road to success has not yet caught up with him yet but he has a few heavy hitters under his belt like bay area rappers Mistah Fab, E-40, American Idol contestant Sylvia Chibiliti, J.Winans and more. Today he continues to work with up and coming artists, producing, writing, and recording. So be on the lookout for this rising star.
