Producer and entrepreneur launches i am Other. Inspired by all of the underexposed raw talent on the Internet, Pharrell Williams decided to launch his new label imprint i am Other.
"They're not getting the recognition in the mainstream media, but in the digital world they dominate- the 16-, 17-, 18-year-old virtuosos all over the world coming out of nowhere and just taking stake in their position," said Pharrell. "The Others are multifaceted pro-active people who live outside the box and aren't confined by categories."
The label will be home to new artists Chris Cab and Maxine Ashley, reports Hip Hop DX. Tyler, The Creator, who considers Pharrell to be an idol, has already been rumored to be another artist signed.
