In his own words:
I'm da homie the one and only JROD one half of the super R&B duo Recognition. I'm currently signed to EMI/CAPITOL RECORDS and I've been doing this entertainment life since I can remember. I pride myself on my marketing and performing skills. I don't believe in fear, I keep life stupid simple
Growing up, we never had much. But as a child, you never knew how bad things were until we get older. I was a true country boy, church going, chicken feeding, wood chopping, spit on the ground, green bean eating, corn shucking sum biscuit eater, lol. But I wouldn't trade that for the world
Right now, we've currently released a free album entitled "Backstage Pass" on Livemixtape.com
and exclusively on our website www.4RecognitioNMusic.com for FREE DOWNLOAD. Also, we've been picked up for a few dates to tour with TYRESE. But up unto this point, we've been the
number 1 most added recorded act in the country, had 3 BET nominations and reached #22 on the National Billboard charts in 2010. So you can say we've been blessed with some success.

I do my best writing in the car. I love to drive for hours and create. I think half of the "BACKSTAGE PASS" ALBUM was made while driving.
These last few years, I've been asked this question so many times, what inspires me?. And every time I've answered it, I would say something that was, some what practiced, but honestly...it's my family. Cause no matter what, fame or no fame, rich or poor, they will always truly love me as much as I do them.
I've always wanted to do something involving entertainment. My grandfather was a Blues Singer and I fell in love with music along time ago. But I just enjoy making people feel good. It makes me feel better.
My views on music today? You just gotta look at who wants to be FAMOUS and who wants to ENTERTAIN.
I am currently working on a summer tour.
What makes us and our music stand out from others, because we do music. I don't do R&B, COUNTRY, ROCK, POP, HIP HOP, etc. I just do music.
Other things I would like to accomplish? I love film. I would love to own and produce a few films someday.
In 5 years i hope to be successful...stupid simple...just successful in life
To all artists who truly want to be in the music business, please understand that "MUSIC" is one thing "BUSINESS" is another. Nobody ever explained it like this to me, but it's something you should really
think about.
