Queen Latifah is heading back to daytime TV to host a new syndicated talk show that’s scheduled to air in 2013.
Sony Pictures announced that it will team up with Latifah’s Flavor Unit Entertainment and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment to produce the show. The three mega-stars stars will serve as executive producers on the yet-to-be-titled project, continuing a long professional history together.
The new program won’t be the rapper-turned-Oscar nominated actress’ first time heading a talk show: in 1999 she hosted The Queen Latifah Show, which ran for two seasons then cancelled. She has also racked up other production credits on BET’s Let’s Stay Together and VH1’s Single Ladies.
