The actress is set to star in an untitled FOX spy pilot about a CIA operative’s 14-year old daughter who encounters a mysterious rogue agent. Bassett will portray Alice Vargas, the calculating CIA political director who mentors the girl. Former Nip/Tuck star Julian McMahon plays the agent.
Last March, Bassett had another pilot on the front burner, a drama about identity theft for ABC called Identity, that unfortunately never made it to series.
