Born on January 2,1991to a Haitian mother and an African American father, Henry Calix Cobbs entered the world. Growing up in a very musical household Calix’s mother “Sylotte Jean-gillis” often listened to Haitian music and sung around the house in her free time. As for Calix’s father “Henry Cobbs sr” he would blast the powering rock sound of Michael Jackson.those where the days Calix found the power of sound and how music could move, motivate,even bring together a whole nation.
Calix began performing at age 6 and after that day he decided that he wanted to sing, perform and unite people though his music. At age 16 Calix found his sound and really started pushing his work and began writing for other artists. With drive,determination, and perseverance Calix gives his all on everything and does not settle for less, its all or nothing.
Now at the young age of 20 calix is working on his first EP titled “WASTED”. Calix has been working hard staying in the studio,recording,writing,working with new artist and working with new producers such as Jai Marlon, The Morris Brothers, and many more. Calix's "Waste" Ep is expected to be released on December/1/2011.
