Tom Colicchio To Ride On Bear Float For 2011 LA Pride

From Eater:
Chef and Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio is a big gay hypermasculine icon, especially popular with the bears, so much so that he's apparently agreed to ride on a bear float in next year's Los Angeles Pride parade, reports the Dallas Voice.
Colicchio told them, "I was on Andy Cohen's show on Bravo [Watch What Happens] and said I was mad at the bear community: The gay Pride parade was going on, and no one had asked me to be on a float." Soon thereafter, the show was flooded with phone calls, including the editor of A Bear's Life magazine who helped set it all up.
BTW - Colicchio is straight. Via Towleroad

Tom Colicchio On Super Bowl Telecast

Top Chef Papa Bear Tom Colicchio will be one of the approximately 853 co-hosts of the Super Bowl Pre-Show tomorrow on NBC (along with Keith Olbermann, Matt Lauer, and many others). Tom will be judging a cooking competition between former NFL superstars Tiki Barber and Jerome "The Bus" Bettis.

Project Runway fans might remember Tiki Barber (above) as a guest judge on Season Four. He appeared during the infamous menswear challenge - which my buddy Jack Mackenroth won, and Carmen (like the opera) Webber (like the grill) sent out a shirtless model and was sent home.

Personally, I have always thought that former Pittsburgh Steeler Jerome "The Bus" Bettis was HOT. Look at that rock of a man (above) - I wouldn't mind taking a climb on that mountain. Athough Jerome has never been a Daddy of the Day - like Tiki was.

Maybe during their Super Bowl cook-off, Tiki and The Bus will make a Bacon Man - which I just read about on Dlisted. And YES, I realize this is my second bacon post in two days...

Mmmmmm ... BACON ...

White Meat Monday Hero: Tom Colicchio

Not only is he everyone's favorite PapaBear Top Chef judge - Tom Colicchio is a true hero. Joan Nathan, a cookbook author, found herself choking on a piece of chicken at an Inaugural dinner party recently. Luckily, Colicchio was standing beside her and applied the Heimlich maneuver - thus saving her life. Read the entire story HERE.

I wonder if Chef Tom accused Nathan of not "honoring the protein" after choking on it??

Thanks to Kayce for the tip.
