Yesterday I watched a really cute and touching “dramedy” on Showtime that I had never heard of before - “A Very Serious Person”. It is the story of a 13-year-old gay boy who bonds with his grandmother’s male nurse. It was written and directed by playwright, actor, and drag performer Charles Busch - who stars as the nurse. Polly Bergen plays the dying grandmother, and NYC performer Julie Halston plays a local hair stylist.
This movie was funny and touching all at once. If you get the chance, you should check it out.
