"The Pauly D Project" Set To Debut March 29th

The "Jersey Shore" breakout star is ready to show the world a whole new side.

As a DJ, Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio has already accomplished more than his "Shore" fans may realize. He's toured with Britney Spears, earned himself a residency at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and signed a deal with 50 Cent's G-Note Records. "The Pauly D Project" will follow the Rhode Island native as he handles his growing musical stardom.

On this journey Pauly will have to separate from his "Shore" family, but the new show promises its own cast of colorful characters. There's Pauly's road manager from Rhode Island, Michael "Biggie" Morgan, and the DJ's personal bodyguard and friend Gerard "Big Jerry" Gialanella.

As a part of the "Jersey Shore" cast, Pauly helped drive that show to become TV's hottest series over the course of five seasons, so there's no telling what he will bring to the first "Shore" spin-off. You're just going to have to tune in. "The Pauly D Project" will premiere at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on Thursday, March 29.

News: Britney Spears To Be Featured On Pauly D's Spin Off Show

Pauly D will be rejoining Britney for the final show of her tour, taking place December 10 in Puerto Rico. We're told Pauly D will be bringing along the crew from his upcoming spin-off show for MTV to document the whole thing.

The "Jersey Shore" star was Britney's opening act for a few shows back in August and one time was even on the receiving end of a lap dance from Britney.

So it's true this is the final season of Jersey Shore, then everyone branches out.

News: Jersey Shore's Pauly D Signs Deal with G-Unit

DJ Pauly D is doing pretty well for himself ever since he found fame on the Jersey Shore. The spikey-haired turntablist has not only landed the gig of a lifetime opening up for Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj on the "Femme Fatale" tour, but he's also confirmed an album deal with 50 Cent's G-Unit Records.

In an interview with XXLmag.com, Pauly D says a three-album deal with the Interscope backed label, which may include provisions for his own line of headphones, should be done "by the end of the year."

"50 cent has also been somebody I look up to. We ended up linking up and we just clicked. We hit it off immediately with the music and everything like that. So, I’m definitely gonna be working with him. There’s been talks about the album and the headphones. I’m looking forward to working with that as well," he said.

Jersey Shore is currently in its fourth season, which takes place in Italy. A spinoff of the show, which will focus on Pauly D and his rising career, is in the works

News: "Jersey Shores" Pauly D Joins Britney's World Tour

Pauly D will open for the singer on six of her August tour dates.

He's set to hit the road with Spears on August 17 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, before his jaunt with her wraps on August 25 in Charlotte, South Carolina. "I am so excited to be performing on the Britney Spears Femme Fatale tour," he said in a statement. "Britney is one of my favorite performers and certainly one of this generation's most influential artists. It's an amazing platform to connect with my fans around the country."

"What it means to DJ a concert like a Britney Spears concert or something like that, it's an association with monsters like Britney Spears and it just legitimizes your career," he explained at the Palms Hotel and Casino, where Spears electrified the stage just days before she dropped her album. "And it's just fun being onstage with Britney Spears performing like she's performing. I love it. I couldn't ask for more."

And if fans are expecting Pauly to DJ some of the singer's greatest hits, they'd better think again. "A DJ should not play the artist's songs at her concert 'cause she has to perform these songs," he said. "I'm not going to be playing any Britney before she performs; maybe after. I'll let her perform, let her shine 'cause it's her night."

I know many of you hate MTV's Jersey Shore, but I just can't get enough of that trashfest. So, if you posses "standards", or "taste", or "a brain" ... you may want to skip this post.

This week's big story: MTV decided it would NOT air footage of NYC gym teacherdouche Brad Ferro (below right) punching Snooki directly in her pickle-hole. Although many people have already seen it on Teh Innerwebz or on MTV promos for Thursday's episode.

MTV issued this statement:

"What happened to Snooki was a crime and obviously extremely disturbing. After hearing from our viewers, further consulting with experts on the issue of violence, and seeing how the video footage has been taken out of context not to show the severity of this act or resulting consequences, MTV has decided not to air Snooki being physically punched in the face."

I love it - MTV all of a sudden has standards. Then how do they explain that horrible Is She Really Going Out With Him show?

And in, perhaps, even BIGGER news ... Jersey Shore cast member Pauly D says that he, unlike a certain cute Alaskan, would have no problem "showing the goods"...

And, as we found out in this Jersey Shore scene, Pauly would be showing off some JEWELRY in addition to his meat and potatoes...
