Lil Kim To Perform On BET's 'Rip the Runway'



BET's annual fashion and music show, 'Rip the Runway,' is right around the corner and promises a star studded show with notable performances and guest appearances.

Performances by Estelle and Lil' Kim headline while B.o.B., Wale, Diggy Simmons, Jeremih, and Meek Mill will all hit the stage.

Lil Kim has been in the studio, making a new album.

This year, 'Rip the Runway' will focus on more than just five designers. Expect a variety of segments portraying both couture and casual, and a platform showing viewers how to mix both. 'Rip the Runway' will air on BET March 21st at 10 pm (EST).

Lil' Kim Calls Nicki Minaj A Stupid Ho



Lil' Kim was a guest on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live last night. Fellow guest Willie Geist asked the Queen Bee what she thought of the "performance by a certain artist who kind of ripped off your style?," at the Grammy Awards. After acting like she didn't know who Nicki Minaj was, or that she watched her rival's performance, the Notorious K.I.M told host Andy Cohen, "I'm pretty sure I feel the way everybody else feels right now," when asked about Minaj's "Stupid Ho*" diss track. "If you have to make a song called ‘Stupid Ho*,' you must be a ‘Stupid Ho*.'”

Lil Kim Owes Over $1 Million In Back Taxes



Lil Kim's tax problems are well documented and go back 10 years. According to documents filed with the L.A. Recorder's Office, Kim owes money every year from 2002-2009.

Her total is $1,026,862.42.

A rep for Lil Kim told TMZ that she "hired professional attorneys to handle this matter" and that "she, along with her team of legal experts, are working cooperatively and diligently with the IRS and federal authorities to amicably resolve the situation."

News: Lil Kim To Release New EP




The Brooklyn femcee has just announced the release of a new five-track EP, set to drop sometime around Christmas.

Kim took to Twitter to reveal the project: "#TeamLilKim: For the Holidays I'm releasing a 5 song EP for y'all as a preview of what's to come in 2012 & so on. 4rm Lil' Kim :)


It would be the first studio release from Kim in six years her last was the gold-sellingThe Naked Truth in 2005. Unsigned since parting ways with Atlantic Records in 2008, the Queen B has ramped up the activity this past year, with her February mixtape Black Friday and her recent single, "I Am Not the One," which is currently available on iTunes.

News: Lil Kim to Release New Book and Documentary



Lil Kim is working on a new book and documentary that will focus on her life before and since serving a one-year prison sentence back in 2005. The book will be titled The Price of Loyalty


On a recent interview with DJ Kay Slay on Shade 45, the Brooklyn rapper shared details about her upcoming projects.


"I’ve been independent; you know I left my record company two years ago. I was in another situation and that’s going to be in the documentary as well and why it took so long," she said. "I've been doing everything myself and quite frankly, for me to not have the backing, or the budget that I used to have, for me to be able to still move the way I move and be relevant the way I am, I feel blessed."

News: Lil Kim's Reality Show



After inking a deal with Universal earlier this year, Lil’ Kim is reportedly set to find “America’s Next Top Rapper” alongside music video director Little X and record producer Rockwilder.
According to its website, the series will launch winter 2011 and is the first televised hip-hop reality show competition to be broadcast on cable, online, via mobile app as well as digital video player Roku. While it costs $200 to enter, the winner will reportedly receive $100,000 in cash and prizes which includes the following:
A distribution deal from Universal Music
A professional video shoot by Director (Little) X
A single produced by Rockwilder
A feature by Lil Kim
$20,000 in cash
A booking agent
A publicist
And a national tour
While no official word has been given, registration is open for auditions

News: Lil Kim Removed From Monica's New Album



Monica's new single, "Anything (To Find You)," did feature Lil' Kim and Rick Ross, but now just features Rick Ross.
The track debut on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs at No. 71.

This is the first track from Monica's upcoming seventh studio album, "New Life" due out on Oct 18th.

Lil' Kim explained to her fans that her part on Monica's single, "Anything (To Find You)" was shortened to make room for Rick Ross.

"In all actuality, I did a 16 in addition to the 8 bars that ya'll all heard, Monica and her people decided to add Rick Ross on the track."

J Records then removed Lil' Kim entirely from the official song. Rumors speculate that it was due to contractual issues and money. No further details were shared.
