LaLa talks business, marriage and more in this week’s issue of ‘Rolling Out’ magazine. The reality television star/business woman touched on how she and Carmelo keep their relationship strong, her new cosmetic line as well as the biggest misconception that people have of her:
Sometimes, one thing that I hear that is a misconception is, “what does she do?” And, “what is her job?” It’s the craziest thing, as anyone knows, being a mom is a full-time job. I’m also a wife, and I did a reality show, and I just did a movie.
So take that haters...

News: Po Johnson Of "LaLa’s Full Court Life" A Singer
Most know Po Johnson as La La Vazquez-Anthony’s spunky best friend on the VH1 show La La’s Full Court Life. But these days Po is striking out on her own and launching a music career. Her lyrics come to life in her first single, “Super Kinda Psycho Sexy Love” (currently available on iTunes), a pop/rock infused track that gives a good feel for Po’s spirited personality. Read on to learn more about the up-and-coming singer.
Po sat down with BET and said the following:
"Music is something I’ve always wanted to do, writing is something that I wanted to do. I started writing when I was, like, four because I used to have a bad stuttering problem…because of that I never really spoke to anybody. I would write on the wall in my bedroom and my mom would let me do that because she saw it as me expressing myself.
My first single, “Super Kinda Psycho Sexy Love,” was kind of pop-y punk with some funkiness in it, and some urban. It’s greatness I think. It started out with just the sound, but I am working on the album and I wanted to go on tour with it. I like that sound for now, but at the same time I don’t want to put myself into a box. So I have no idea what I’ll want to sound like two years from now or even two weeks from now.
I’m going to do a video for my single “Super Kinda Psycho Sexy Love.” My EP will be coming out soon so everybody look for that. And I guess my last words would be ‘always be inspired and if you’re not inspired, be inspiring.’"

News: LaLa "The First Lady Of New York"
LaLa Vasquez-Anthony appears on the cover of Pynk Magazine's latest cover. With her returning to Vh1 for a new season of "Lala's Full Court Life" coming in August, the promotion for it has just began.
She was asked if she'd ever be on "Basketball Wives" and she responded "I turned it down. I have absolutely nothing against basketball wives, the show Basketball Wives, or anything like that. But I pride myself in being more than just a basketball wife. I understand that’s something that I am, but that’s not a title that I want to define me. I’d rather be known as a mom, a businesswoman, a producer, an actress, a TV host. I just felt like that didn’t fit who I was and where my career was trying to go.”
And when referenced as The First Lady Of New York,
“I kind of laugh when people say it. It’s an honor to be called the First Lady Of New York For people to even put us in the same category as Jay-Z, that’s just an honor in itself, but I don’t deal well with titles. To me, actions speak more than anything. It’s about being in New York now and being active, as New Yorker’s get active in the community. And getting out there and showing people what we are about outside of our businesses, with philanthropy and different things like that. That’s how you prove who you really are. You can be given a label and a title but what does that mean when there is nothing behind it? So for us, it’s about really embracing the city of New York. We kind of rushed and got here quickly, but now that we are settling in we’re starting to get out there and do some charity work and let people really see what we’re about as individuals, and as a couple.”
This is why we love Lala and will continue to love Lala. She's real honest and is always humble.
