In the early 90's, the Supermodels ruled over the fashion world. This handful of young women - Naomi Campbell, Christie Turlington, Cindy Crawford, and Claudia Schiffer - changed fashion. No longer were models nameless mannequins - they became superstars in their own right.

But perhaps the brightest star of them all at the time was Linda Evangelista - who turns 46 today. Evangelista, who jokingly told Vogue that she and her fellow Supermodels "don't wake up for less than $10,000 a day", is still waking up and working today - most recently as the face of Talbots.

But my gay ass will always remember Ms. Evangelista as the star of George Michael's Too Funky video - which also featured a young Tyra Banks:

I saw this over at TLo and just had to share. Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd attending AARP The Magazine's 10th Annual Movies For Grownups Awards in California. Hello Angels!

Flawless. As stated on TLo, DO NOT EVEN THINK about discussing plastic surgery or dressing age-appropriately when it comes to these two. When you look this good, Roberto Cavalli leopard print (on "Kelly") and Tadashi Shoji sequins (on "Chris") is absolutely appropriate. Actually, it's quite fierce.

As far as the plastic surgery thing ... I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Ms. Smith at a Shear Genius event a couple years ago and the "work" she's had done is as flawless as the rest of her. Even up close. Plus, she was sweet as sugar.

The Miley's, Xtina's and Megan Fox's of the world need to study these women closely. THIS is how it's done.

Do They Have "Timeouts" In Fashion ??

Is this model calling a "timeout" on the runway during a fashion show? Is that legal? I'm pretty sure it results in a 15 yard penalty and the loss of an accessory. Or something.
