Yes, But Is It ART?

I came across an art exhibition in Chelsea yesterday while walking up 8th Avenue (yes I was EXERCISING). Inside and outside the gallery were Fancy White People, sipping cocktails and talking about Fancy White People things. All the while this one girl sat in the corner of the storefront gallery, looking out onto the sidewalk.

Very weird...

Google Buys Entire NYC Block - Pays Cash

Google has reportedly closed the deal to purchase the Art Deco 111 8th Avenue - once a freight terminal for the Port Authority and now the third largest office building in NYC. It is located at the prime spot where the fashionable Meatpacking District, Chelsea and the West Village come together and it takes up an entire city block.

Google, who already has offices in the building, will take ownership on Wednesday - after ponying up a reported 1.9 BILLION (with a "B") IN CASH.

In the immortal words of Mel Brooks in History of the World, Part I ... "It's good to be the King".

Constant Carb Craving - Sugar Cookies

While walking home last night, I saw this awning in Chelsea.  My immediate reaction was, "OMG - a store that sells nothing but Sugar Cookies!  I am sooooooo there...".

Sweets/pastry/baked goods/desserts don't do much for me.  If I'm going to cheat on my low-carb diet, it's going to be at a fast food restaurant or a greasy diner.  I like fried junk foods (and delicious Arby's roast beef), not sweets.  One of the reasons is the fact that I hate "chocolate" as a flavor ... as in cookies, cakes, shakes, milk, etc.  I only like white baked goods (Does this me a 'Cookie Racist'??).  For my birthday I always wanted a white cake with white icing, and Angel Food Cake is another fave of mine.  But Sugar Cookies and I have had a truly special bond, ever since college when I discovered Archway...

So I walked closer to the store, my mouth literally watering at the thought of unlimited Sugar Cookies at my disposal.  Cheating on my diet was/is bad, but a lovely cookie (or three) sounded really good at that moment..

Finally, I got right in front of the store and looked inside...

Yes, my darling DustBunnies - Sugar Cookies sells WOMEN'S LINGERIE!!!!!  I was SOOOOOOOOOO upset...

Especially since they didn't carry my size.

I did some "Hottieveillance" last night on my walk home from work. Yes, I WALKED ... and I took some pictures on the sly ...

The picture above is of Gym Bar - a popular gay watering hole on 8th Avenue in Chelsea. The seated gentleman is one of the Bouncers. To further prove that NYC is the biggest small gay town in the world, I have actually posted a picture of this gentleman before. He was the ONE hottie I photographed at the City Hall Prop 8 Rally back in November. Remember him?...

Yep ... same guy. I didn't realize they were the same person until yesterday.
