"Waiting To Exhale 2" Goes On Without Whitney
The upcoming remake of "Sparkle" isn't the only film to be impacted by the death of Whitney Houston. The long-awaited sequel to 1995's "Waiting to Exhale", announced last year with the return of the original cast, with the loss of its star.
But an executive at Fox 2000, the studio producing the film, confirms that the project will go on. "It's almost in her honor that we think to soldier on," said Elizabeth Gabler, president of Fox 2000 Pictures, to Vulture yesterday afternoon.
The project is "a priority" at Fox, says Gabler, and will be fast-tracked by the original Exhale director Forest Whitaker.
So, who will replace Whitney in the sequel? Oprah Winfrey, given that she's already announced her plans to return to acting. However, no deal is in place as of yet.

News: Whitney Houston Gets Kicked Off Airplane?
Whitney Houston isn't on drugs anymore, she's just crazy and yesterday she almost got kicked off a Delta Airlines flight because she refused to buckle her seat belt.
Whitney boarded a flight in Atlanta Wednesday afternoon and when she settled into her coach seat, a crew member asked her to buckle up.
Whitney refused and "got diva" in a matter of seconds on the crew member until another crew member came over and warned Houston that if she didn't buckle up, she would have to get off the plane.
Whitney eventually allowed one of the crew members to grab the buckle and fasten it for the singer and the plane was then cleared for takeoff.
