Police Break Up Drake & Common Fight

Common and Drake had to be separated by cops while backstage at the Grammy Awards, reports Celebuzz.

This story sounds like a wild rumor at best with Celebuzz's source saying the two artists have to be separated by police twice. ?uestlove was at the Grammys and tweeted about seeing Drizzy and Com with no mention of any potential fades being distributed. And no doubt someone would have caught this alleged incident on video, or at least a twipic.

So at the moment Celebuzz needs more people.

Nick Cannon & Common Working On New Movie Projects

Common and Nick Cannon are taking an extended break from the recording studio to launch new film projects.

Nick Cannon will be making his directorial debut on a movie project with Lionsgate, which he describes as "today's version of House Party." The actor-rapper, who has spent plenty of time in front of the camera hosting America's Got Talent and MTV's Wild 'N Out, says to Page Six, “I’m taking a lot of the young hip hop acts of today and putting them in a movie with a bunch of comedians, make something happen there.”

Cannon's fellow rapper Common has landed himself another high-profile acting gig. The Hell on Wheels star announced at Sundance his new project Now You See Me, a thriller about a team of FBI agents tracking a team of illusionists who pull off bank heists during their performances and reward their audiences with the money.

News: Rapper Common Got Dumped Over The Phone

Erykah Badu and Common at one point were the epitome of a Hip-Hop love gone great.

Aside from the sweater pants he started wearing, the couple created great music together, like “Love of My Life (An Ode to Hip-Hop),” from 2002’s Brown Sugar. They both won a Grammy for the track.

But one day, the same year Badu snagged her fourth Grammy award, love didn't live there anymore. Common candidly tells Wendy Williams, “I was in my hotel room on tour and she called me and was like, ‘Hey, I don’t wanna be in this relationship no more. I’m liking somebody else.’”

In 2004, Badu gave birth to her daughter Puma with West Coast rapper The D.O.C. While they both have moved on, Common says, “It taught me a lot of things, and when it happened I kinda really got into myself and really learned about myself and I was able to move on, and now me and E is real cool.”
