Boycott Tarjay !

After a series of shady donations to anti-gay political causes by Target and Target Executives, then reneging on a promise to make things right with the gay community, MoveOn.Org and others are calling for a boycott of the company.

Bob gives some excellent background information HERE, and you can go HERE to sign MoveOn's petition.

And even if you have to go to KMart (quelle horreur!), don't give Target a dime of your gay (or gay-friendly) money until they make things right.  After all, the Gays put that store on the map ... Tarjay would be about as fashionable as a Flashdance sweatshirt with neon-green legwarmers if it wasn't for us Gays.  Ungrateful bastards...

Whole Foods Faces Boycott

Whole Foods CEO John Mackey (below) has ticked off some of his most loyal customers by publishing an editorial in the conservative Wall Street Journal regarding "Obamacare". In it, he states that there is no "intrinsic right to health care".

Naturally, many of the progressives who purchase Whole Foods' overpriced goods are outraged and are calling for a boycott. A Facebook GROUP has sprung up, stating...
Whole Foods is NOT a company that cares for communities and they have built their brand with the dollars of deceived progressives. No more. My $ will no longer go to support Whole Foods' anti-union, anti-health insurance reform, right-wing activities.

John Mackey, CEO and co-founder of Whole Foods wrote an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal on 8/12/2009 quoting Margaret Thatcher and suggesting that healthcare is a commodity that only the rich, like him, deserve.

I never spend a penny at Whole Foods anyway, but what do you think - will this affect whether or not you shop at Whole Foods?

Boycott!

If right-wing idiots can boycott my beloved McDonald's, then WE can boycott some right-wing juice. William Bolthouse, who owns 43% of Bolthouse Farms, recently donated $100,000 toward the initiative to constitutionally ban gay marriage in California. According to Bilerico, the Bolthouses have a history of supporting anti-gay causes. Read the story here.

I'm not a big juice buyer, but if YOU are, I ask you to bypass Bolthouse Farms and buy something else.
