MTV's "Teen Mom" Star Sentenced To 5 Years In Prison

"Teen Mom" star Amber Portwood has struck a plea deal after her drug arrest last month  requiring her to serve a 5-year prison sentence.

As part of the deal, Amber pled guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of probation violation.

The entire case will be dismissed if Portwood successfully graduates from the Madison County Drug Court program but if she screws up she'll be tossed in jail immediately, no questions asked.

A hearing is set for February 6th when the judge will decide whether to approve the deal.

"Teen Mom" Amber Portwood violated virtually all of the terms of her probation including staying sober in public and not beating people up. She's facing 2 years in prison.

Amber's probation officer claims the 21-year-old former "Teen Mom" committed a laundry list of violations:

-- "Failure to behave well in society" -- namely, drinking too much and hitting a person at a restaurant last month
-- Failure to obtain a GED
-- Failure to complete 6 months of anger control evaluation and classes
-- Failure to pay probation fees
-- Failure to set up a $10,000 college fund for her baby daughter

Amber was sentenced to 2 years in jail after being convicted of beating the crap out of her baby daddy Gary Shirley but the sentence was suspended on the condition that she do all of the above.

Amber's due back in court for a hearing in January, when she'll have the opportunity to explain herself. If the judge doesn't buy it, he or she could throw the book at Amber

News: MTV's "Teen Mom" Star Gets Into Fist Fight

"Teen Mom" star Amber Portwood is now fighting total strangers. According to Radar Online, while at an IHOP in Indiana, Portwood engaged in a physical fight with another female patron of the restaurant a fight which she reportedly instigated.

"She was drunk, and there was another girl in the restaurant who had been drinking too and apparently said something about Amber to her friend," a source said

"She told the girl, 'You don't know anything about me! I'm gonna whup your ass!' Then she went in for the kill and attacked her.

Portwood may have a tough time getting out of this one. The entire incident was caught on camera showing Portwood inciting the attack, in which punches were thrown and hair was pulled.

But this isn't the first time Portwood has gotten physical on camera. In 2010, Portwood was charged with domestic battery after she was shown slapping Gary Shirley, the father of her child, on their MTV reality show.

MTV's "Teen Mom" star Amber Portwood was rushed to the hospital in Indiana after she threatened to take her own life.
Law enforcement promptly took Amber to a nearby medical facility for further evaluation.


UPDATE: Amber's baby father Gary Shirley called 911 and said  "She's going to hang herself" Gary added, "I'm calling you guys because I don't want her to kill herself."

When the Cops arrived she did not appear to be injured, she was taken to a nearby medical facility and is still being further evaluated.
